How Do I Meet People?

Buies Creek First Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman/woman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Buies Creek First Baptist Church.

Small Group

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. Does this sound like something you would be interested in?  If so, ladies can join the Vivian Simpson Mission Bible Study Group which meets each first Tuesday at 10:00 AM in a different individual’s home each month or the Wednesday night Women’s Group at 6:30 PM.  Men can participate in the Men’s Prayer meetings each Monday and Thursday morning at 7:00 AM.

Children and  Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning, children and youth get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child/youth gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction.  This allows the children/youth to establish and strengthen relationships with each other.

College and Young Adults

Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions to be made, bigger stakes, serious relationships, and a whole host of  other issues. The young adult group of Buies Creek First Baptist Church provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people.  There are no classes during summer months until students return for the fall quarter.

Bible Study Group for College Students Only

Meets each Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM.  Dorothy Mullins leads the class,  They will meet in room 101 in the educational building.  Please call the church office at 893-4280 if additional information is needed.  There are no classes during the summer months until students return for fall quarter.

Women’s Group

Buies Creek First Baptist Church gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s group, called “Generation of Hearts and Hands,” meets each Sunday morning at 9:45 am for Bible study and prayer. This groups provides a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Men’s  Group

Men gather each Sunday morning for prayer and Bible study.  Here men have the opportunity to study God’s word and develop special friendships with fellow believers.

Married Couples

Even though marriage is one of the most important institutions, it is the one which is under the most attack–internally and externally.  Couples are able to study God’s word and life experiences with each other and other married couples.

55 and up

Once you get past fifty, the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the 55 plus group of Buies Creek First Baptist Church provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. Sunday morning Bible study enables this group to study God’s word together.  Other times throughout the month this group gets together for fellowship, fun activities, and mission trips.  Please refer to the Ministry page for other opportunities to interact with this group.

Special Adults

Our church is actively involved in providing Bible study for this group by some very caring and loving teachers which allows them to learn more about God’s word and interact with each other.
